Located in the heart of Asia is the hidden land of Tibet. Surrounded by the highest mountains on earth, Tibet is cut-off from the rest of the world. Five and a half million Tibetans live on a plateau 4 times the size of Texas. Cold, poor, remote and more than 4000 meters above sea level, Tibet is one of the most adventurous places to travel.

Snow-capped mountains, yaks, alpine lakes and blue skies fill Tibet with beauty. From the base camp of Everest to the valley grasslands filled with nomads, Tibet offers something different for each traveler. It is no surprise that Tibet has a high amount of returning visitors. One trip to the “land of snows” just isn’t enough.

Welcome to the adventures and pictures of an outsider who has lived among the Tibetan people for the past 7+ years. This outsider has traveled more than 150,000 kilometers overland across the Tibetan Plateau. This site is filled with pictures, stories and all the travel advice for Tibet you could ever want.
